In the fast-moving world of radio, television
and telecommunications, the changes in technologies provide exciting
opportunities. Broadcast stations, cable systems, direct broadcast
satellites and the Internet offer an unprecedented number of channels
of news and entertainment.
What is different about this program?
Champlain’s curriculum is designed to give direction to
your creative expressions, to offer you diversified technological
expertise, and to provide you with practical training in writing
for the media, media production and media management. In addition to regular course work, you will
gain practical experience through participation in projects at
the campus newspaper, the campus television studio and digital
editing suites and with internships at Burlington-area media outlets
and companies.
Champlain’s program competencies are designed
to ensure that you acquire the skills and knowledge in broadcasting
necessary for professional career opportunities.
