Founded in 1878,
Champlain College is a private college
located in the picturesque “Hill
Section” of Burlington overlooking
Lake Champlain and the Adirondack
Mountains. Champlain educates 1,950
full-time students in more than 30
professionally focused undergraduate
and graduate programs. The College
employs approximately 200 full-time
faculty and staff.
Known for its entrepreneurial
spirit and ground-breaking programs,
Champlain responds quickly to trends
in the marketplace. The College has
recently introduced its first graduate
degrees -- an M.S. in Managing Innovation
and Information Technology and an
innovative M.B.A. Our latest baccalaureate
degrees include Computer Forensics,
Electronic Game & Interactive
Design, Information Security, Electronic
Game Programming, Global Business
& Leadership, and Middle/High
School Education. A pioneer in distance
education, the Center for Online and
Continuing Education offers on-line
degree programs in both semester-long
and seven-week formats for seven bachelor’s
and both master’s degrees. An
ambitious and successful capital campaign
that ended last year helped the College
construct three new buildings: a suite-style
residence hall, the Global Business
and Technology Center and a Student
Life Center. Champlain’s results-oriented
approach to innovation and academic
excellence forms the core of a student-centered
educational program rooted in a campus
culture that highlights community,
commitment and excitement in every
undertaking.
Champlain endeavors
to be a diverse and welcoming community
and invites applications from members
of any group that has historically
been underrepresented. The College
assures equal employment opportunity
and prohibits discrimination on the
basis of race, color, national origin,
gender, religion, sexual orientation,
age, or disability.
