For a taste of the world beyond
our borders, take the step into ISTEP, our International
Student Exchange Project. ISTEP offers exchange
programs with universities in England, France, Sweden,
and Switzerland. You can study abroad for a semester
and earn full academic credit, with no added tuition
expense. Scholarships are available, and you can
apply your financial aid package to your semester
abroad. To plan ahead for overseas study, stop by
the International Exchange Office or the Career
Planning Office as early as your first semester
at Champlain.
Pre-Law
If you're thinking about going
to law school, Champlain offers a host of courses
and majors that will get you headed in the right
direction. Our bachelor's degree program in Professional
Studies allows you to immerse yourself in paralegal
studies, criminal justice, or a business program
aimed at the legal field. Attorneys on our faculty
will help you tailor your curriculum to a career
in law. In addition, our Career Planning Office
has a library of law school catalogs as well as
preregistration materials for the LSAT, the law
school admissions test.

Champlain College and
Clarkson University: If
you're interested in getting your MBA, or an MS
in management, then you should look into Champlain's
joint program with Clarkson University. This four-year
undergraduate program grooms you for graduate study
in business and management. Because the undergraduate
courses at Champlain are required in the first year
of graduate study at Clarkson, you'll get a head
start on your MBA or MS. As a result, you can earn
your undergraduate degree at Champlain and your
MBA or MS degree at Clarkson in just five years.
If this program seems up your alley, be sure to
work closely with your adviser to choose the appropriate
courses and to review the details of the Clarkson
application procedure.
Champlain College and Southern
New Hampshire University: Students who attend
Champlain College are now eligible to take part
in a 4+1 MBA program with Southern New Hampshire
University (SNHU) in Manchester, N.H. Students who
earn a Champlain bachelor's degree in Business will
be offered unconditional acceptance to the MBA Program
at SNHU, which is the former New Hampshire College.
A Champlain Business degree provides a strong foundation
for the MBA program and allows students to complete
their MBA over four twelve-week terms during the
course of one year. Standard MBA programs require
a two-year time commitment. The SNHU program is
also offered online, so students can "attend" class
from any location.
